Integration of Environmental Submodels with the IRPUD Model (1998- 2004)

Policy decisions on urban land use and transport increasingly address issues of environmental quality such as air pollution and noise intrusion It is planned to link submodels for air dispersion and noise propagation employing raster-based GIS techniques developed at IRPUD with the existing IRPUD urban land-use transport simulation model. For a description of the IRPUD model see The IRPUD Model: Overview. For an application of the IRPUD Model see Sustainable Urban Spatial Structures.
