Rural Development

The development of technology on biotope management and restoration for conservation of ecosystem in rural areas (2003- 2004)

The tasks of the project partners in South Korea are the classification of biotope types and the description of technologies of biotope management for rural areas in South Korea. The field work is done by the Korean partners, too. The Institute of Spatial Planning contributes both by the development of technologies for creating and managing rural biotopes and by definitions and classifications of biotopes. The overall task is to assess wether the examined technologies and management structures can be applied in rural development of South Korea.
The project partner is the National Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology (NIAST) of the Rural Development Administration (RDA) of the Republic of Korea.
