Forecast of Road Traffic Noise in Lünen (1998)

In cooperation with the Dortmund planning consultancy plan lokal a forecast of traffic noise in the central area of Lünen is conducted for the City of Lünen as part of the city's Transport Development Plan. The forecast is to assess the impacts of different transport network scenarios on traffic noise emissions and immissions, i.e. on noise impacts on the population. The forecast will be made with a traffic noise propagation model developed at IRPUD. The model conforms with the Guidelines for Road Traffic Noise Protection RLS-90 issued by the Federal Transport Ministry to standardise the assessment of noise emissions of road traffic.
