Sustainable Mobility in Cities (1997- 2000)

In this project funded by the German-Israeli Foundation for Scientific Research and Development (G.I.F), IRPUD and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Professor Ilan Salomon) and the University of Tel Aviv (Professor Yossi Berechman) collaborate to investigate policy bundles for sustainable transport planning in cities. Netanya, Dortmund's twin city in the northern periphery of Tel Aviv, was selected as a case study city. The project is a methodology and pilot study, in which the primary objective is to develop a microsimulation model of urban travel and its linkage with air pollution and noise propagation models.
